Meet Popsicle! Popsicle is a sweet, playful, affectionate, rebellious, and sassy girl! Any kind of treat is her favourite, but she especially loves apples, cream cheese, carrots, and BANANAS! She’s a high energy pup who loves to play fetch, tug-of-war, and playing with her squeaky toys! Alongside physical exercise, Popsicle also requires lots of mental stimulation (she loves a KONG!). She’s also a pup who loves to be pampered and enjoys when her fosters pet her, brush her, and massage her paws.
When meeting new people, Popsicle is very friendly! She greets everyone she meets with a smile and loves being cuddled by everyone. She LOVES other dogs and when on walks, she is fearless, wanting to say hi and play with every dog (even ones twice her size!). She walks well on leash but will sometimes pull when she sees a squirrel or another dog. She does have a prey drive to squirrels and birds. Popsicle is working on her communication with her humans, as she sometimes growls and barks. She’s also learning not to nip/nibble on hands, feet, and calves. Popsicle is still getting used to her crate and is totally house trained!
The ideal home for Popsicle would be an active family who can provide her with lots of physical and mental enrichment. She absolutely loves being outside and can walk for hours! Popsicle would do well sharing her home with another dog. She has met a cat and did very well; she sniffed them a few times and then went off to do her own thing. She could do well living with cats once she gets more comfortable with them. She has not yet met children. Popsicle is a gentle, curious, and totally adorable pup who loves being around her humans!
