The primary responsibility of a vetting coordinator is to support the fosters, vetting manager, foster team as well as the vets to ensure the best possible care for all animals in the care of New Collar Collective. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist vetting manager with matching fosters with available vets based on the pets needs upon arrival

  • Support for vetting manager for foster team pet concerns

  • Ensuring all incoming animals have a scheduled appointment within a two weeks of being in New Collar Collective’s care

  • Working with Vetting Team Lead to ensure all records are receive in a timely manner and are organized efficiently

  • Responding to e-mails and non urgent phone calls within 12 hours.

  • Actively participate in New Collar Collective Facebook private members group communities

  • Being able to make decisions quickly and efficiently 

  • Ability to deal with emergency situations at all times

Time Commitment: Up to 15 hours per week

You will need to:

  • Be a team player and demonstrate strong ethics, consistently and fairness

  • Ability to maintain a positive and calm attitude under stressful and/or emotional situations

  • Be respectful and caring towards people and animals. Be committed to New Collar Collectives mission and embody the organizations values

  • Be organized and have a strong attention to detail
