Meet Missy! Missy is a playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-focused girl who loves nothing more than being close to her humans. She is a serious cuddle bug and will happily worm her way into your arms for pets, although she hasn't quite mastered asking politely - her favourite technique is gently boxing you with her enormous paws or pawing at your face for attention! She is curious, smart, and eager to please, and loves exploring while still keeping a close eye on her person. She enjoys tearing apart plush toys and would likely have a blast learning activities like obedience or agility where she can work closely with her handler.

Missy is a confident girl who does well getting around the city and is comfortable travelling on the subway, streetcar, and GO Train. She can be a little timid when someone approaches her too quickly, but with a slower introduction she is friendly and affectionate. She is also doing very well on leash and is easily redirected back to her person when something catches her attention. She can bark or lunge when certain dogs get close, particularly some male dogs, but she is responsive to her handler and can calmly pass dogs with guidance. She has also met larger female dogs and is generally curious and comfortable greeting them with a sniff. She has prey drive and may pull towards small animals, so she'll need continued support with this. Missy can be alert to sounds in the home and may huff or bark when someone approaches the door, but she is easily redirected and recovers quickly from startling noises outdoors.

Missy is house trained and does wonderfully in her crate. She may quietly fuss for a few minutes when first left, but then settles and can relax for several hours. She is happy to settle whether her people are home or out, and can also relax when separated from them around the house. Missy is a lovely young dog with a wonderful combination of affection, intelligence, and determination. She wants to please her people and would thrive with someone who enjoys training and wants to give her plenty of opportunities to learn, explore, and stay active. She is a big-hearted cuddle bug who is going to make an incredibly special companion for the right person.
