Meet Kira! This blue-eyed beauty is ready to steal your heart, and maybe even your spot on the couch. Kira is a sweet and gentle soul who loves giving affection and sticking close to her people like Velcro. She’s also got a playful side, happily burning off her puppy energy with her foster sister or chewing on her favorite toys.

Kira loves nothing more than spending time with her humans, relaxing, and cuddling. She’s known to follow her foster parents around the house but is also taking well to crate training and can be left home alone in her crate or in another room for an extended period without issue. She adores her foster sister and their playtime together, and would love to share her home with another dog! She does have a tendency to guard her food if another dog approaches, but she’s improving in this area, so separate feeding is important. She has adapted well to city life and is currently working on her leash skills; she tends to pull but checks in nicely with her handler, has no prey drive, and greets other dogs calmly. She’s a bit nervous and timid around new people but warms up with time, who can blame her!

Kira is making strides with her potty training and is getting the hang of doing her business outside. She’s a smart cookie and is also working on a few other tricks, like sit and down. Kira would be the perfect addition to a family excited to continue her growth through basic training, gentle guidance, and confidence building.
