The primary role of the Event Coordinator is to plan and organize all events as well as seek new and exciting opportunities for New Collar Collective to get exposure in the community and implement initiatives to fundraise for the organization through events. The Event Coordinator will be a part of New Collar Collective’s marketing team, which thrives on collaboration and open team discussions to review current and past methods and strategically implement new ideas. 

Time commitment: 

Roughly 5 - 10 hours per week, self regulated. Ability and willingness to allow for a flexible schedule is ideal. 

Daily commitment to ensure you monitor your communication channels (email, Slack,  and respond to any issues, concerns, or questions raised by your Event Team Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Event Team Responsibilities:

  • Generating new ideas for events 

  • Coordinating and handling all logistics for events

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and sponsors 

  • Seeking and securing new opportunities for events 

  • Presenting event budgets 

  • Working closely with social media team and other branches of the marketing team/organization to promote events 

  • Coordinating and managing event volunteers

  • Attending regular marketing and other team meetings and participating in collaborative discussions on other areas of marketing including social media, fundraising, merchandise/print design, and branding

Qualified candidates should: 

  • Be well organized and detail oriented with excellent multi-tasking abilities

  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently to complete tasks 

  • Be highly adaptable and work well in dynamic situations

  • Exhibit friendly and professional communication skills

  • Be able to accept feedback and adapt where necessary 

  • Enjoy working in a team environment
