Meet Dexter! This handsome boy is quite the little lover. He’s a low-key, affectionate kitten who enjoys cozy cuddles, especially in the morning and evening. Most of the day you’ll find him napping or curled up beside his favourite people, with a little burst of playful energy later in the day. He also enjoys playing and play-fighting with his brother, and he’s a big fan of Churu and Catit treats. Dexter is a very good boy who doesn’t get into things he shouldn’t and is happy to keep life simple and cozy.
Dexter is shy but sweet and likes to approach people at his own pace. Once he’s comfortable with you, he loves sitting close, curling up in your lap, or settling into your arms. He enjoys being petted and snuggled, although he prefers gentle handling and can become nervous if he’s picked up when he’s not in the mood. He’s also quite the conversationalist and may loudly let you know when he’s been left alone or hasn’t received enough attention! Dexter is litter box trained and generally has low to medium energy, with most of his playful moments happening in the afternoon or evening. He’s comfortable travelling in a carrier, although he can be a little vocal along the way.
Dexter would thrive in a quiet, calm home where he can have plenty of affection while also having space when he needs it. He hasn’t met children, and because he can be startled by sudden movements and sounds, a home without young children would likely suit him best. He briefly met a dog from a distance and was a little nervous, but with slow, thoughtful introductions, he may be able to warm up to a canine companion. His ideal family will understand that this sweet boy needs to build trust at his own pace, but once he feels safe, he has plenty of cuddles to give.
