Meet Desi! Desi is a playful, affectionate, and very enthusiastic puppy who thinks everyone is his best friend. He is curious about absolutely everything and approaches life with the goofy, adventurous energy of Kevin from Up. Desi loves exploring, playing fetch with his tennis ball, tug-of-war, and getting into whatever fun thing he can find. He is also a big snuggler who loves curling up beside his people, giving kisses, or lying at their feet while they go about their day. He is very food motivated, smart, confident, and eager to learn, and already knows sit, down, paw, and stay.

Desi is a very social puppy who loves meeting people and other dogs. He greets new people with lots of excitement and a constantly wagging tail, although he can become overstimulated and mouthy when he's especially excited. He is very playful with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion with a similarly playful energy and compatible play style. He has met a cat and was curious but calm and very gentle with them. Desi does have a strong interest in small animals and will chase them, although he is generally easy to redirect. He does well in a busy city environment and is confident out in the world, but can pull towards people, cyclists, or other things he finds interesting. Continued leash training will help him learn that he doesn't need to say hello to everyone he sees!

Like any young puppy, Desi is still working on his manners and house training. He has lots of energy and needs plenty of mental and physical enrichment to keep his busy brain occupied, otherwise he can get into some puppy mischief, particularly chewing things he shouldn't. He is also learning impulse control and can be vocal when he doesn't get what he wants, but settles with patience and the right structure. He does well in the car and is making good progress with his crate training, especially when his needs have been met. Desi will need a patient family who is ready to continue guiding his enthusiastic puppy energy, but in return they'll get an incredibly loving, goofy, and fun little companion who is always ready for the next adventure.
