Meet Autumn! Autumn is a playful, quirky, and high-spirited girl with a big heart and a goofy personality to match (think Olaf from Frozen — always ready for fun and friendship)! At just 1.5 years old, she still has lots of puppy energy and is happiest when she has a toy in her mouth or another dog to bounce around with. Autumn recently raised a litter of five puppies in our care, and now that her little ones have been weaned, she’s ready to enjoy her own fresh start!

Autumn is friendly and curious when meeting new people and loves to say hi to other dogs on walks (sometimes a little too enthusiastically — we’re working on that leash pulling!). She's very independent when playing, often focused on finding the nearest toy to destroy, but she also enjoys belly rubs and back scratches when she’s in the mood. She’s not clingy but will happily hang out nearby and settle anywhere cozy, whether in her crate or sprawled by the front door.

She’s fully house trained, crate trained, and is working on basic commands like “sit” and “paw.” She does whine a little when someone leaves or comes home — usually just excitement or anticipation — but she settles quickly once she knows the routine. She may occasionally get overwhelmed in tight or unfamiliar spaces like cars or elevators, and when she does, she’ll pancake and try to back away. With gentle encouragement and patience, she’s getting more confident each day.

Autumn would thrive in an active home (bonus if there’s another playful pup!) that can give her lots of mental stimulation and physical outlets — like puzzle toys, walks, and doggy meetups. While she currently lives in a busier downtown area, she’d likely be happiest somewhere a bit quieter with more room to run and explore. She hasn’t met cats or kids yet, so slow and respectful introductions would be best.
