Meet Artie! Artie is a smart, playful, and curious pup with a love for life—and water! Whether he’s splashing around or playing with his toys, Artie’s always ready for a good time. He’s not overly cuddly, but he does enjoy sleeping beside his humans and happily accepts affection when it’s offered.

This social boy has met dogs of all sizes and is friendly and playful when he sees them out and about. He gives adorable play cues like play bows, though he can sometimes get a bit excited and bark or lunge. He currently lives with both cats and dogs and is doing well with them. Artie has also met children and greeted them with excitement and playful energy (including some happy jumping!).

Artie is a great little walker with impressive recall, but busy roads and loud traffic still make him a bit nervous—he'll tuck his tail and walk close to you until he feels safe again. He’s still working on his house training and basic cues like “sit” and “stay,” and is doing well in his crate when left alone.

Artie would thrive in a home with room to run and explore, and with a family committed to helping him grow in confidence. He’s not overly vocal indoors and has shown no resource guarding. Whether he’s dashing through the yard or sleeping at your feet, Artie is a lovable little dork who's sure to steal your heart.
